Mahesh Sadhanani, BDS, MPH, DMD General Dentist
Note: While Dr. Sadhanani might provide it in other offices, MassHealth does not cover services at our office, but we’d be delighted to have you as a patient. In fact, we have many patients with MassHealth who choose to come to our office anyways because of the quality of care they receive.
Dr. Mahesh Sadhnani received his first dental degree, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), from Army College of Dental Sciences in India in 2006. He also completed his internship at the same school where he was later hired as an instructor in the Department of Prosthodontics to teach dental students. He moved to the United States in 2008 and attended Western Kentucky University where he graduated with Master of Public Health. He was very involved in that community and worked with the juvenile justice system and the Barren River District Health Department. He was awarded the ‘Leadership and Service Award’ two years in a row and was also the president of the university’s chapter of Kentucky Public Health Association. After graduation in 2010, he joined Boston University’s Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) with honors in 2012.
He volunteered at numerous community outreach events and worked with the geriatric and pediatric population. He presented his research on healthcare access at the American Dental Association. He was one of only twelve people in the entire US that were awarded the Preventive Dentistry Scholarship by the American Dental Education Association. In 2012 he was awarded the American Association of Public Health Dentistry award for his outstanding contributions to public health dentistry.
His primary focus of practice is with patients that are too anxious to seek dental care and have avoided seeing the dentist for a long time. He is also Invisalign certified and enjoys comprehensively treating patients.
He is actively involved with organized dentistry and is currently serving as a guest board member of the Massachusetts Dental Society where he is an advocate for dental public health. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association. During his free time he enjoys volunteering and has volunteered at several events to provide free dental care to veterans and children from underprivileged families. He loves to travel and enjoys eating out at various local restaurants and is always looking for recommendations!
